Is this any faster? I'm not sure if I like it as much as the previous design, but it seems a bit faster to me.
Please let me know if this makes any difference. I'm open to playing around some more to find a background that I like and that loads quicker.

Loaded fine for me.
ReplyDeleteit was somewhat better, but still scrolling all weird. maybe the background is NOT the problem, afterall february grace has the same background as your last one and hers loads just fine... do you have any special gizmos or buttons or settings turned on? it still hasn't loaded completely on my computer... i'm going to time it... ok, i gave up at eight minutes... looking around, there seems to be an empty space next to your ads by google thing, maybe whatever is there is what isn't loading? unless of course that is just an empty space. sorry! i wish i could help! (but it is functioning better than before... i think!)

Yeah, a touch faster but still issues, and it doesn't look nearly as good as it did. It's possible that it is one or more of the gadgets rather than the overall design.
ReplyDeleteOK. Does anyone have any ideas WHICH gadgets might be causing the slowdown? 'Cause none of them are new. But I'm also sensing this blog is far slower loading than most others and it's driving me crazy! :)
ReplyDeleteIt loaded alright for me. The ones that load slow are those who post image after image in one post. Some bloggers will do half a dozen in a single post, and those take forever to load. I usually give up. Yours has always loaded fine for me, and this one gave me no problem, plus I like this format a lot. It's really clean looking.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Terry. This is a tough one to crack. It can't be the Followers gadget -- we all have that. You may have to experiment with taking off unusual ones, like Labels or Google Ads, until you figure out what is causing it. Or, just live with it. I'm not going to stop reading just because of slowness.
